MWUTT 50: Abortion: The Liberal Sacrament of Self-Worship

So a crazy law just got signed in Massachusetts. It allows abortions up to birth. Why would our leaders make such a law? Because they want to put a woman's choice first, even over the life of her unborn child. This is the message; my body, my choice, my rules. You see that same message in abortion laws and how pro-life people are treated, and the public response to Lindsay Clancy, that woman on trial for murdering her three young children. When our own choice becomes sacred, we put ourselves in God's place. That's self-worship. But we do not rule ourselves. We belong to God. Freedom does not mean deciding good and evil for ourselves. It means obeying God and using our freedom to do what is good. How are these stories all connected, and how does freedom become rebellion when used to choose evil? The Bible gives us a clear answer. You are not your own.
