MWUTT 22: Do we have a pronoun hospitality problem?

Welcome to this episode of Men Who Understood the Times. I'm Michael with Andy and Josh, and we're recording really early on a, uh, Saturday morning. Although, it's not that early for me, 'cause I've been up for two hours, and it's 7:00 here. Uh, Josh, what are you drinking early on this morning?

Black coffee.

Black coffee.

It's something that I always drink in the morning. Yeah.

There you go. Andy, what do you have? Do you have coffee?

I have almost black coffee. I use, like, a teardrop of cream in my coffee.

Yeah. I've got some milk.

My wife makes fun of me. She says, "You might as well just drink it black," but that's the way I like it.

Yeah. I, I do have some milk in my coffee too. But I was on Babylon Bee earlier this week and they asked a question about coffee and what you put in it, and it said, "Are you a man?" And basically, uh, it was only black coffee that you got-

Mm-hmm

... yeah, you were a man. Every- anything else you put in there, even just a little bit of milk, you're not a man.

Now, hold on.

... is a man named James Reece. It's a great series.

Yep.

But, um, he... A, he drinks his coffee with milk and honey.

Oh, hon- it is... Yeah, it's the honey. Exactly. Yeah.

Yeah.

He doesn't like black coffee. And he is... He's a man's man. You're exactly right, Jack Reece.

Yeah.

Yep.

Yeah. But I also have... 'Cause every morning now I have a smoothie, and so, uh, my new concoction is banana, pineapple, peanut butter, and then milk.

Do you get mani pedis too?

No. No. I try to... I, I, I try to stay away from... Uh, I, I like bread. I could eat bread every day. Trying to get away from all the bread, and then especially everything that grew up eating with cereal. So trying to do something healthy, so a smoothie every, every morning's kind of a good thing.

On a quick side note, by the way, this is expensive-

Yeah

... but, um, really, really good. I've actually been able to cut down to just, like, two meals a day. I skip lunch. Um, I'll have two eggs with, um, like, salt, pepper, and rosemary, and then a, a salmon filet.

Wow.

And... Now, if... You gotta get the wild caught stuff, because the farm raised stuff, uh, is, is not good because you have fish in a pen consuming their own waste. Um, but the wild caught stuff, it's like 30 bucks a bag at Costco, so it's not cheap. But, like, I'm, I'm honestly not at all hungry during the day, and so there's no snacking. Um, and there's also... There's no carbs in that situation there. And so... And then I'll eat, like, a normal dinner. And so-

Yeah

... um, yeah. Check it out.

Yeah. Well, very good. And if you really want to be manly about that, you should do it raw eggs.

Raw e- eggs. My inner, my inner Stallone is not gonna-

Yeah, exactly. Rocky would do that
