- How can it be so reliable?
- It is the inspired Word of God, not mere opinions or memories
- How can we keep from being deceived away from it by "false prophets"?
- They teach "opinions" and make them equal to Scripture
- Their teachings deny the work of Christ (to some extent)
- Their teachings deny portions of the Law or the Gospel (or both)
- They teach for their own benefit instead of the glory of God
